Our Contractors

The Kinzenbaw Construction team employs and works only with subcontractors who we trust, are reliable, and do quality, excellent work.

Not only is it our experience in a wide range of projects, it's the pride and passion our team brings to each project that ensures projects are finished in a professional, high quality manner.

Meet Nick

Nick started Kinzenbaw Construction in 2011. His path to becoming a custom home builder was about as direct as it comes. When he was 6, in his Dad's wood-working shop, he and his father built a 'miniature house' (aka: doll house). Since then, Nick has spent countless hours on job sites, in wood-working shops, and designing beautiful, functional and cost effective living areas and work spaces.

Nick's philosophy is quality, custom, and cost effective. He's been a professional in the building trades for more than 15 years. He has incredible pride and passion for each project and ensures the best possible outcome.

In 2000 he got his first job as a framer in the Quad Cities. After high school he went to Kirkwood Community College where he studied and earned a degree in Construction Management as well as Business Management with an entrepreneurial certificate. Since then he's worked for custom home builders in the Quad Cities, Wisconsin, and the Iowa City corridor.

Nick's commercial and residential clients are always impressed with his attention to detail, creativity, affordability, work ethic, and skill in customizing everything and anything to fit their needs.

After college, Nick married his wife, Sara. They have two boys who love watching their daddy build. Together, they enjoy working on their home, entertaining, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
